Simran Singh Jain (she/they)

Bio

I am a full-spectrum abortion doula available for both in-person and virtual support of folks in any stage of their abortion experience (pre, during, or post). I work for SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective and specifically focus on the experiences of our Black and Brown and queer siblings. I also work with various abortion support groups in the Southern United States to provide funding, transportation, and housing for those seeking abortion. I am trained in trauma-informed care, specifically for sexual and gender-based violence, and am prepared to help guide folks through that healing process. I am a poet and singer, so incorporating art into our exploration is also always available and encouraged.

Asha lerae (she/her)

Bio

I am an abortion companion who helps people prepare for abortions and provides support after the experience. I work virtually, over the phone, and in person in Seattle, WA at this time. I am also a sex and consent educator, so I can educate about sex after an abortion, contraception, anatomy, how to have conversations about your desires and needs, and more. No question is off-limits. For those that want to foster creativity and growth out of the experience of abortion, even when it’s mired in grief, I am also able to provide emotional and spiritual support from my particular lens as a biracial Black woman, former Christian, and nondual animist. I provide free services/work for donations/barter services.

I support folks in their pregnancy ending journeys, regardless of whether that end is chosen. My goal, rooted in my own experiences, is to ensure that folks who need abortion care or are experiencing a miscarriage don’t feel as lost and unsupported by the system as I did.

If you are seeking an abortion or are experiencing a pregnancy loss, or both, whether you have questions about the process or need someone to talk to about your experience, I can provide you with clear, factual information and offer techniques for managing your care, physical and emotional, without blame or judgement. I work with folks throughout the cycle of this experience, including before abortion, and during and after abortion or miscarriage. There is no set time-frame for your emotional response to this experience, no wrong way to grieve or celebrate.
